Want to learn how to pilot a powerboat safely? This course is for you.

 

Syllabus:

Boat preparation, safety equipment and pre start checks

Basic engine maintenance

Boat handling at high and low speeds 

Man overboard procedure

Anchoring, mooring and tying up alongside

Basic navigation, passage planning and theory

Knowledge of IRPCS

 

Successful completion of this course allows you to captain a powerboat up to 15m in fair conditions. Practical assessment is on going. A short question and answer exam is used to check your theoretical knowledge.
