Our Little History

Our team of dedicated professionals are passionate.

Java Yachting started some 10 years ago, offering quality training for sailors wishing to obtain IYT certification from basic beginner level to offshore Yacht Master. Initially established in Phuket with a satellite base in Krabi, the company was well positioned to attract aspiring sailors from around the region. Well founded and equipped boats were acquired for live aboard courses and the fleet now has a wide range of craft to cater for a variety of clients needs.

Our ethos is to give the best training possible with a focus on safe navigation and seamanship. Ultimately, this principle gives our clients confidence to handle the numerous situations that can develop during their time on the water.

Java Yachting has grown substantially since its birth and now offers a range of programs from bases in Phuket and Krabi, more recently opening a water sports center on Koh Long Island just off the south coast of Phuket.

Having spent over 50 years in the marine industry, 30 of which in command of a variety of ships trading worldwide, I believe Java Yachting is well placed to maintain its position as one of the premier yacht training and charter companies in Asia.
