Training combines essential theory with hands-on experience, helping students develop the competence and confidence required to operate safely on the water.

VHF Radio
Duration: Pre-learning theory + 1 Day
Essential for captains of both sail and power-driven vessels, this one-day course teaches you the correct procedure for operating a marine VHF radio.

Power Boat/
Rib Master
Duration: pre-learning theory + 2 days
The course will introduce students to the basics of small powerboats and ribs, rules of the road, safety, engine checks, maintenance, and various boat-handling skills.

ICC Sail/Charter
Duration: 1 – 5 Days
Many European charter companies require it, especially if you want to charter a boat in the Mediterranean.
Our professional training includes the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), an internationally recognised certificate often required by skippers who want to operate or charter recreational vessels in many overseas destinations. Training and assessment focus on practical boat handling, navigation, safety and responsible command of a vessel.
The VHF Marine Radio course provides essential knowledge for using marine communications equipment correctly, including radio procedures, distress and emergency communications and everyday ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communication.
For those working with or operating smaller powered craft, our RIB Master and Powerboat Training develops practical skills, including manoeuvring, berthing, high- and low-speed handling, safety procedures, and operating in different conditions.
Whether you are developing a professional career, adding to your existing marine qualifications or simply becoming a more capable skipper, Java Yachting provides practical training designed for real-world boating.
